How we assess your business

Follow the path from first interest to new business

A buyer can be interested and still never become a customer. We follow what happens from first contact to delivery, so the recommendation addresses the point where business gets held up.

The commercial process

Where does interest turn into business, and where does it stop?

  1. Finding buyers

Which companies fit, who influences the decision and what gives them a reason to respond? We learn where to reach them and how they choose suppliers before deciding how to approach them.

  2. Handling interest

Who responds, what do they need to learn, and what happens next? We check who handles the enquiry, what they learn and how quickly the buyer gets a next step.

  3. Winning work

What moves an opportunity toward a proposal and a decision? We look at approvals, follow up, delays and the point at which the customer commits.

  4. Serving customers

What happens after the agreement? Capacity, onboarding and delivery commitments affect how much new business the company can take on.

When work passes between people, we check

  • Who owns it
  • What information moves
  • What needs to happen next
  • How long it takes
  • What happens if it stalls

Looking at the full process helps us spot problems that more enquiries would not solve. We then agree which part Havenmont will manage.

Evidence before recommendations

Find the point where progress breaks down

One delayed reply is different from buyers repeatedly going quiet. We look at how many buyers reached each step, how long it took and where people dropped out to find patterns worth addressing.

If the process is not documented, we walk through a recent sale with your team and compare it with other records. A referral win can teach us something, but it does not tell us how buyers reached through outreach will behave.

We also look at what you earn after serving each customer, how long a sale takes and how much work you can handle. More revenue only helps if the cost and effort of winning it make sense.

Put effort where it can make a difference

The recommendation should explain what to change and why. That could mean reaching more buyers, improving follow up or fixing a delivery bottleneck before taking on more work. Anything we still need to learn stays clear.
