Agree the work before committing to it

Before you commit, you should understand what the work can change, what it will cost and what it needs from your team. We work through those questions with you and put the proposed engagement in writing.

Know what happens before and after you commit

  1. Start with what you want to change

    Tell us what you want to achieve and why it matters now. We discuss whether Havenmont can help and what we need to understand next.

  2. Understand how you win business

    We look at how you find, win and serve customers. Your team helps us see what works, where business gets held up and what would make a change worthwhile.

  3. Develop a working scope

    If there is a reason to proceed, we set out what should change, the work involved, who does what and the proposed terms. We make clear what still needs checking.

  4. Review it with the right people

    You and the colleagues involved in the decision review the proposal. Raise concerns, correct anything we have misunderstood and help us refine the work.

  5. Agree terms and prepare to start

    We confirm the work, fees, payment terms and what both teams need to provide. Delivery begins once the agreed conditions are met.

  6. Deliver and review

    We manage the work and review progress with you. If priorities or capacity change, we agree what changes in the work.

People who were not in the first discussion should still be able to understand what is proposed, why it matters and what it requires from them.

Fees and timing depend on the work and what is needed to deliver it. Your proposal should explain both.

An enquiry starts a discussion, with no commitment to proceed. We only propose work where we see a useful role for Havenmont.
